February Recap: What I Read & Watched
I have just read a book called "If You Change Your Mindset, Your Life Will Change Too." It made me feel better and more positive. I often wonder why my mind is always filled with negative thoughts about how badly my brother and sister-in-law treated me. But after reading just a few pages of this book, I already feel lighter. I want to be happy. I want to live a fulfilling life from now until the end of my days. The first step is to free my mind from those negative thoughts, uplift my mood, and see the world with a clearer perspective—so that I can make wiser decisions for my future.
In February, I also binge-watched all eight episodes of The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call in one night. It was definitely worth my time, and I felt so happy that I watched this series. Let me give you a brief summary of the plot.
Each episode primarily focuses on life-saving surgeries at the trauma center in Hanuk Hospital, led by Dr. Baek, along with his two junior doctors and a nurse. The series also explores the conflicts between Dr. Baek, the hospital director, and his staff over the high costs of running the trauma center, as well as how he resolves these conflicts.
Ju Ji Hoon, the actor who plays Dr. Baek, regained fame in his 40s. Nineteen years ago, he rose to international stardom with his first lead role in the MBC drama Goong (also known as Princess Hours). However, his career was derailed for a time due to a drug scandal, which led to widespread public criticism. His past works, including Goong, Kingdom, Light Shop, and many others, have seen a resurgence in popularity. Many people are rediscovering and rewatching his old projects.
