August and Personal Memories

During July and August, I didn’t engage in any meaningful activities. I spent most of my time sleeping and scrolling through TikTok.

I had an interview on August 5th and the result was extremely disappointing.

I've read a lot of articles about color revolutions and what happened in Bangladesh and Myanmar and also about what happened in Libya and Iran in the past.

I love peace. I don't want war, and I don't want to live in fear or instability.

The more I read, the more I love Vietnam. I know that Vietnam still has many areas that need reform, but up to this point, I still have an immense love for my homeland.

Besides that, I'm also considering whether to have surgery on my finger to make it look better.

But with someone as timid as I am, I don't have the courage to go under the knife.

I watched a Vietnamese show and have become completely immersed in each episode and every participant in the music reality show on YouTube. I’m touched by the beautiful friendship among the members of this show and also really enjoy the humorous and endearing personality of a 2001-born participant. This young man brings a truly healing energy. I spend most of my time watching the show’s video clips, including the behind-the-scenes footage. 

I like people who are humorous, sociable, sincere, and treat others with kindness. And they also live with a lot of warmth, humility, and exceptional talent.

Last week, I also went back to my hometown to hold a memorial ceremony for my mother.

Our beloved summer

Our beloved summer is currently my healing spot. This show aired in 2021 on Saturdays and Sundays, and I watched it on Netflix. At that time, weekends were so special to me because of the show. Due to the time difference between Korea and Vietnam, the show aired in Korea 2 hours before it did in Vietnam, so to avoid spoilers, I had to stay away from social media before the show was released on Netflix. The story focuses on Choi Ung and Koo Yeon Soo. They were a couple from high school to university, but then they broke up and lost contact for six years before meeting again. Koo Yeon Soo was a top student in school, and after graduation, she found a job and worked day and night to earn money for living. Of course, this is not a bad thing. Her job is something many people dream of, but compared to being a top student in school, this job seems nothing special.   Saturday, June 17, 2023 Exploring hidden corner: A coffee shop called Bibli Library One impression of Bibli Café. First, when I ran to see the address at Alley 42 Ho Hao Hon Street, I ran a little further on the left-hand side and found the café. As I entered, I noticed that the outdoor space was quite small. So, I thought the interior space might not be much larger than what was shown in the clips that people reviewed on TikTok. When I went inside to order food, I found that the ground floor space was not too big, with tables and chairs placed close to each other. I was given a menu to choose from, but as I had just come in from the hot sun, I didn't pay attention and accidentally hit the wooden cover of the menu against my lip, which was quite painful and caused a salty taste on my lips, indicating that it might have caused bleeding.
