Exploring hidden corner: The coffee shop and percent coffee
Saturday, June 24, 2023
This week has been an exhausting
week. I have a task that needs to be done within the week and I am not going to
meet the deadline. Just thinking about not being able to complete the task on
time and being scolded by my leader makes me want to quit the job. Hic.
Besides work, this week I visited
2 coffee shops, which was somewhat enjoyable. One of the coffee shops is
Percent Coffee and the other one is The Coffee House Signature. The Coffee House Signature is a premium
segment of The Coffee House. The ambiance of the coffee shop is different from
others, with more luxurious seating and drinks served in glass cups instead of
paper cups. The prices are also higher. Lately, I have heard quite a lot about
these premium segments in various coffee chains. For example, Starbucks has
Starbucks Premium, and Phuc Long also has Phuc Long Premium.
The Coffee House Signature has a
smaller seating capacity compared to Percent Coffee. Percent Coffee, with its
two floors, offers a quieter environment than The Coffee House. It is located
at a street intersection, so sitting on the first floor and looking down at the
street can be quite relaxing.
The menu at The Coffee House
Signature is more diverse, offering a variety of drinks and food options. For
food besides pastries, they also serve other dishes such as spaghetti. On the
other hand, Percent Coffee only offers drinks and pastries. I prefer the drinks
at The Coffee House Signature because they suit my taste preferences. However,
the prices at The Coffee House Signature are higher. They are about one and a
half times higher than Percent Coffee.
One difference between these two
coffee shops is that at The Coffee House, you can place your order at the table
and pay afterward, while at Percent Coffee, you order and pay at the counter as
soon as you enter the shop.
